Hi there !
I know it’s been a really long time since my last post, i just didn’t take the time to write here.
So, many pictures to apologize…
first, I went to Cronulla Beach, about 30min South of sydney by train, to change and see what it looks like, but the “natural” pools were way better than the beach itself…
And then, with a lot of new Frenchies friends, we went to Taronga Zoo, one of the most famous of Sydney, and it was totally worth it !! The zoo is truly huge, with many animals, shows and beautiful view of Sydney Harbour. I wanted to take one of the cute koalas with me but they didn’t accept that…
Otherwise, my last assignment of the semester is on friday, and i’ll start my (3months) holidays by a 10 days, 2600km Road trip on the Aussie East Coast we 3 friends of mine :)
We’ll leave sydney to go to Fraser Island, a national park, 300km north of Brisbane, and then we’ll come back to sydney along the coast, stopping wherever we want ;) so that means many, many pictures to arrive here when I’ll be back !!

Je sais que ça fait très longtemps depuis mon dernier article, je n’ai juste pas vraiment pris le temps d’écrire ici.
Du coup, beaucoup de photos pour m’excuser…
D’abord je suis allé a Cronulla Beach, à environ 30min au sud de Sydney (en train), pour changer de Bondi et voir a quoi ça ressemblait, mais les piscines “naturelles” sont nettement mieux que la plage elle même…
Ensuite, avec beaucoup de nouveaux amis, on est allé au Zoo de Taronga, un des plus connu de Sydney, et ça valait vraiment le coup !! Le zoo est vraiment grand, avec beaucoup d’animaux, de spectacles et des vues imprenables sur le Sydney Harbour. Je voulais prendre un des koalas pour le ramener avec moi mais ils n’ont pas voulu… bizarrement.
Autrement, mon dernier rendu du semestre est vendredi, et je vais donc commencer mes vacances (de 3 mois) par un Road trip de 10 jours et d’environ 2600km sur la Cote Est Australienne, avec 3 amis a moi. :)
On partira de Sydney pour aller directement à Fraser Island, un parc national à environ 300km au Nord de Brisbane, puis on reviendra jusqu’à Sydney en faisant toute la côte, en s’arrêtant où on aura envie ;) Donc normalement, plein de photos en ligne quand je reviendrai !!!

Here we are, winter’s over, spring has just begun, but it’s already more than 20° everyday and the sun decided to come back so… it is very nice here at the moment !!
I don’t have much to say, because although I am in a 2 weeks break, I just walk around in the city, taking some pictures… I try to rest before going surfing next week ! So this article will be quite short, but with lots of pics..
I starting to think about going to the Coral Barrier for a few days, because I really don’t wanna miss that…
Anyway, that’s almost all I have to say right now, so I let you enjoy the pictures.

Voilà, on y est, l’hiver est terminé, et le printemps arrive juste mais il fait déjà plus de 20° tous les jours, et le soleil est revenu donc… c’est plutôt cool d’être ici en ce moment !!
Je n’ai pas grand chose a dire, parce que, bien que je sois en vacances pour 2 semaines, je me balade juste dans Sydney, en prenant des photos… J’essaye de me reposer avant d’aller surfer la semaine prochaine ! L’article sera donc court mais rempli de photos…
Je pense essayer d’aller faire un tour sur la grande barrière de corail, parce que c’est quelque chose que je ne veux vraiment pas manquer…

First of all, i’m sorry, i know it’s been a while since I wrote something here, but as I have classes now, weeks are a bit busy… and the weekends are too…!!
So, first, I bought all the basics I needed : a guitar, cause it is really cool to play on the beach, or even in the street to earn a bit a money ;) and i also bought my surfboard, which i just begin to really enjoy, grabbing my first waves on the sunny beaches of Sydney (Bondi and Manly).
I now have a pretty big network of friends here, from many different countries (France, Brazil, USA, Italia, Columbia, New Zealand…) and it is really nice to learn a bit about all these cultures !
After one month, I almost know the City like the back of my hand, I often hang out with my friends, I can play the guitar and earn money with it, I learn to cook, I meet a lot of very nice people, I can surf… To me, Sydney is really one of the best places in the world ! there are only a few things missing here, but sadly there are the most important ones…
Tout d’abord, je suis désolé, je sais que ça fait un moment que je n’ai pas écrit ici mais maintenant que j’ai cours, les semaines sont un peu plus chargées… et les weekend le sont aussi….
Donc, déjà, j’ai acheté tout ce dont j’avais besoin comme “base” : une guitare, parce que c’est vraiment cool de pouvoir jouer sur la plage ou même dans la rue pour se faire un peu d’argent ;) et j’ai aussi acheté un surf, et je commence vraiment à en profiter en prenant mes premières vagues sur les plages ensoleillées de Sydney (Bondi et Manly).
Je commence aussi à avoir un bon réseau d’amis ici, venant de différents pays (France, Brésil, Etats Unis, Italie, Colombie, Nouvelle Zélande…) et c’est vraiment cool d’apprendre des choses sur toutes ces cultures !
En petit bilan, après un mois ici, je connais la ville presque comme ma poche, je sors souvent avec mes amis, je peux jouer de la guitare et me faire un peu de monnaie, j’apprends à cuisiner, je rencontre énormément de gens supers, je peux surfer… Bref, pour moi, Sydney est vraiment une des meilleures villes du monde!! Il n’y a que quelques choses qui me manquent ici, mais ce sont les plus importantes pour moi…

I took the Ferry, just in front of the Opera House, to go to Manly beach, in the North of Sydney. After a little walk on the beach, I went to North Head, where you can have a really big view on Sydney…

J’ai pris le ferry, juste à coté de l’Opéra, direction Manly Beach, au nord de Sydney. Après avoir marché un peu sur la plage, je suis allé jusqu’à North Head, d’où la vue sur Sydney est assez impressionnante…
Je pense que les photos parlent d’elles même, donc, à bientôt…

Here things are starting to go really fast but I really like it too !!
I have a few days left before school so I try to get around and see as much as I can in Sydney.
This was 2 days ago, i went to Bondi beach, one of the most famous in Sydney, to see what it looks like and it is really awesome !! I can’t wait for summer, to stay all day long on this kind of beach, I think it’s gonna be really good…

Ici les choses commencent à vraiment s’accélérer, mais j’adore ça!
Il ne me reste que quelques jours avant de commencer les cours donc j’essaye de bouger un peu et de voir un maximum de choses sur Sydney.
Ca, c’était il y a 2 jours, je suis allé à Bondi Beach, une des plus connues sur Sydney, pour voir à quoi ça ressemblait, et c’est vraiment génial! J’ai hâte que l’été arrive pour rester toute la journée au soleil sur des plages comme celle la, je pense que ça va être vraiment bien…

After three days visiting a lot of flats, I finally found one, only 200m from the school, on the 15th floor so the view is pretty good too!
Yesterday, the weather was very good in the morning so I went for a walk in the north of Sydney. I walked through the botanic gardens to arrive just in front of the famous opera house, which is just amazing!
Today, I have to buy some stuff because I don’t have anything to eat yet… And this afternoon, I have to go to school for the beginning of the orientation week…

Après trois jours à visiter plein d’appartements, j’en ai finalement trouvé un, à 200m de l’école, et au 15e étage, donc la vue est plutôt sympa!
Hier matin le temps était vraiment beau donc je suis allé me balader dans le nord de Sydney, j’ai traversé les jardins botaniques pour arriver juste en face du fameux Opéra de Sydney, qui est vraiment impressionnant !
Aujourd’hui, il faut d’abord que j’aille faire quelques courses car je n’ai rien à manger ni même de draps… et cet après midi, je commence la semaine d’orientation à l’école…

This is my second day in Sydney, where I start to get around between the street and the buildings. Sadly, the weather’s still rainy and windy, so I can’t really enjoy the city. I’m still looking for a flat, I have some contacts and I’m waiting to visit the places.
I can’t wait to see the sun come back because the city seems awesome and i’d like to walk around more and without my umbrella…

C’est mon deuxième jour à Sydney, où je commence à trouver mes marques entre les rues et les buildings. Malheureusement, le temps est toujours pluvieux et venteux, donc je ne peux pas vraiment profiter de mon temps. Je cherche toujours un logement, j’ai quelques contacts dont j’attends des nouvelles pour les visites.
J’ai hate que le soleil revienne car la ville a l’air géniale et je voudrais me balader un peu plus, et surtout sans parapluie…

After about 27 hours of trip, I finally arrived in Sydney, Australia.
The weather is more or less the same as in France, so that the adaptation can be easier for me. I can’t really tell anything about the city cause I don’t see anything under my umbrella, but according to th TV, the weather should be better next week, I hope so…
This week, I’ll stay in a hostel in Potts Point Area (in the North of Sydney), and I’m looking for a flat closer to my school. I will visit one tonight, with 7 boys in it, and I hope i’ll be the eighth… It seems that every building has its own swimming pool, sauna and spa, so I could relax after school, or after parties :)
I’ll let you know as soon as I have a flat to live in for the next 6 months, and I hope it’ll be soon… ;)

Après environ 27 heures de voyage, je suis enfin arrivé en Australie, plus précisément à Sydney.
Le temps est plus ou moins le même qu’en France, pour que l’adaptation soit plus facile pour moi. Je ne peux pas vraiment dire quoi que ce soit sur la ville puisque je ne vois rien sous mon parapluie, mais d’après la météo, le temps devrait s’améliorer la semaine prochaine, en tout cas je l’espère…
Cette semaine, je suis dans une auberge de jeunesse dans le quartier de Potts Point (au nord de Sydney) et je cherche un appartement un peu plus près de l’école. Je dois en visiter un ce soir, où il y a déjà 7 garçons, et j’espère être le huitième. Apparemment, chaque immeuble possède une piscine, un sauna et un spa, donc je pourrai me détendre après l’école, ou après les soirées :)
Je donnerai des nouvelles dès que j’aurai trouvé un lit pour les 6 prochains mois, j’espère que ce sera bientôt… ;)
